(Not sure if this is really sf, but I'm posting it anyway) Classic Charlie Kaufman (ie weird and trippy) back on the form of Being John Malkovich after the disappointing Adaptation. I've seen many people try to decide if this is a comedy, a drama, a tragedy or what, but I think the whole debate is on a route to nowhere. What the film is is extremely well thought out and for the most part pretty enjoyable. The cast is superb, with Jim Carrey doing proper Acting rather than his trademark goofy performances. My only criticism would be that even at just 108 minutes long, it dragged in the centre section a bit, maybe more development of the Patrick plot would have worked. An excellent film, but not really the right thing to pick if you don't feel like thinking.
