Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying

Having been instructed repeatedly to watch this film I have to say I was rather disappointed by it. The theme and story is inspired and has some interesting historical connotations but I have to say I didn't enjoy it that much. I felt it was just too slow and more focus. By trying to be a comedy, drama, hisotrical comment and whatever else it failed to be anything. I'm definately in a minority with these feelings, but this is *my* review, please please tell me why I'm wrong.

It is clearly the greatest cold war satire ever (that doesn't mean it's any good, it just means it's better than the rest). I think Peter Sellers does a fantastic job, and the film captures the military mentality perfectly. I disagree that it failied to be anything: it is a satire and as such hsa all the elements mentioned by lorna. the acting is of very high quality and it does justice to, as lorna correctly says, the inspired theme and story.
