I really enjoyed this film, it's in much the same vein as Stephen Sommers' Mummy films. Switch off your brain and just enjoy it as a modern B-movie horror film, I'm fairly sure that's how it was intended. Yes there are plot holes, by the numbers romances, daft action sequences, silly accents and cliches in abundance, that's half the point. It's funny, exciting and has a couple of moments that made me jump. Stealing the show as usual though is the sidekick/Q-character played by a very un-Faramir like David Wenham.

I'm afraid that, in my opinion, although the film was a decent brain relaxant, it suffered from "trying to be Bond". They could have had a little more religion and a little less gizmos.
