Doctor Who Episode Four

Nicely Done I thought - and it even had a classic Whoesque Cliffhanger at the end :)

Bit of a shame about the slightly crass fart-humour though.

Glad to see UNIT in it, and some reference to the backstory.

I agree. the humour was a bit crude but it was nice that UNIT as mentioned. I was hoping that he'd wave one of his many unit passes around, but it was not to be.

Cliffhangers are good!

well im sure all the kids loved the farting ;]

and not one but 3 clifhangers all at once, what fun, makes up for the previous 3 episodes not having one i suppose.

i also liked the idea of there being consequences to the companions life when he randomly mucks about with their timeline. I wonder if they will go back and put it right, even more confusingly rose could use her magic mobile to rng her mum up a year ago and tell her not to worry .. but then that would muck up the timeline and things would change, in a very back to the future sort of way

I thought it was a lot of fun, including all the rather cheesey alien bits (such as zips in head) and wtf moments (pigs in space....). The 3 cliffhangers dragged on rather with rather too many drawn out shots I thought, but it was classic Who. Also liked the UNIT mentions and the stuff with Rose. I do like the way they're carefully adding backstory and references with each episode.

For an alternative point of view Third Row Fandom hated it.

I've come to the conclusion recently that Third Row just like to whinge. :-)

This episode was a bit of a mixed bag over all, though I did enjoy it.

Good Things: Seeing the effects of random time travel on normal people. Cool spaceship crashing scene. Nice plot overall. The Doctor was definitely good, and I liked the bit where he just took command of all the soldiers. Cliffhanger good.

Bad Points: It was a bit like South Park's Terrence and Philip invade Earth there - Let's leave the fart jokes to the other shows please. Zips in heads??

I was particularly amused that the Doctor seemed more concerned about the pig getting shot than the terrified medic or befuddled soldiers ]:=8)

And third row seemd to have missed the point of an episode being daft for the sake of it!
