More about Chris Ecclestons exit

Posted by Richard (5th Apr 2005, 11:14) - http://news.bbc.co.uk

The bbc made up the "he hoped viewers continued to enjoy the series" quote and broke an agreement with him not to tell the press he was leaving until after the series had finished.

Although it dosnt really make any difference, (hes still going) I'm a bit surprised that the beeb wernt more professional about it, and even more surprised that tey managed to let it out just after the forst episode. I suppose that they couldnt actually lie when asked a direct question by the evil creatures form the tabloids .. but on the other hand if they had equivicated sufficiently then it would have generated EVEN more publicity.
