Irrational Games: 'sequel' to System Shock 2?

Posted by karne (11th Oct 2004, 12:52) -

Irrational Games, makers of the new Tribes Vengence and the incredibly atmospheric System Shock 2 have announced a spiritual successor to to 'Shock.

Since the rights to System Shock have been lost since the break up of Looking Glass Studies, this is the next best thing. The game has apparently been in development for 3 years now. Personally, I'm very excited to hear this, after Deus Ex, I consider SS2 the best shooter I've ever played.

WOOOHOOOO!! I'd almost certainly rate SS2 as the best pc game I've ever played. A sequel that's done correctly would certainly be a very good thing.

That's really excellent news, as long as shock 3 isn't a disappointment like DX2.
