Virgin Galactic?

It appears Richard Branson has signed a licensing agreement with Mojave Aerospace (of SpaceShipOne fame). Is this the birth of serious space tourism?

That does look very cool indeed. Although I'm suddenly getting SG-1 flashbacks... ("No sir, we can't call it the Enterprise!") I wonder how long it will be until the idea of taking a passenger flight into orbit and back seems ridiculous from the other direction, i.e. that people will treat the spaceship the same way that they treat the plane they use to go on holiday, just as a means to an end? It would be a weird turnaround if NASA wound up booking seats for their astronauts on a Virgin craft in order to service the space station!
