Cameron's upcoming sf projects

Apparently he's working on two new sf films, one of which is a potential remake of Fantastic Voyage. The other "It's very futuristic; [it] takes place in a distant future, and [there's] lots of wild action and amazing characters and, hopefully, a very emotional journey as well"

That description sounds like something you could apply to almost any SF movie ever. Or, at least, that the director would like to apply. Viewing may prove differently.
