Of the one's that I've played I mostly agree with what they say. The key thing is that these are not necessarily *bad* games, just over hyped or disappointing in some way.
Black and White I feel is a worthy winner. A potentially spectacular game with brilliant ambitions that sadly just didn't deliver. I gave it a couple of tries, but couldn't get past things like 10 minute save times, ultra-micro management (can't the damn villagers work out who to couple wiht by themselves?) and extensive bugginess.
Any other suggestions for things that shuold have been there?

"Black and White" is an odd case. I've never really got into it, but I wouldn't say that I got fed up with it - I just got distracted by other things.

\"Quake II" is the only other one I've played from that list, and it certainly didn't live up to my expectations. I really enjoyed playing "Doom" when I was an undergrad. However, I've never really got into any of its successors in the same way. In particular, the first time I played "Quake II", I felt that they'd gone completely over the top with the whole dark/atmospheric business, since I literally couldn't see a damn thing on the screen.

I'd say that "Creatures" is the most disappointing game I've played - I read magazine reviews that were raving about it, where the writer would say that they'd stayed up all night playing it, then fallen asleep and woken up to find amazing new developments. I just found it incredibly frustrating, and couldn't get anywhere.
