The Transformers Movie: If Power Rangers and the Mutant Ninja Turtles could do it, why not the Transformers. In an official press release, the Hasbro brand-label franchise responsible for that early 80's youngster craze revealed its all set to do a live-action feature adaptation of the show brought together by the teaming of two current producers responsible for many of the comic book film adaptations in recent years - Don Murphy ("LXG", "From Hell") and Tom DeSanto (both "X-Men" films). DeSanto is currently at work on a treatment which will then be fleshed out by writers, whilst the project is expected to be shopped around the studios shortly. Now comes the challenge of making the Autobots and Decepticons fighting on earth do-able for a decent budget.

I hope their cgi is up to it - yeah, that was my initial reaction. But (unlike the Hulk film - see other thread), I'm guessing that machines should be easier. It should be the same technology that they use for spaceship models etc?
