Hmm, that article seems to be a bit unclear about whether it's just one film (which would be an incredibly stupid idea) or several. Thinking of the animated film of "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" which I saw when I was young, I think that you can get all the important stuff from each (relatively short) book into a normal length film, i.e. you don't need a 3 hour epic for each one. If they're planning one film per year, that's a fairly long term schedule, but releasing 7 at the same time would flood the market a bit. Maybe one every 2 months, like they did for DS9 DVDs? I think this would be the reverse of Harry Potter, in terms of actors aging, in that the characters do age significantly during the course of the series (particularly Diggory and Polly). But I guess that's not a huge problem, if they take the standard "30 year old actor portraying 17 year old schoolkid" approach...

Hmm, well, this page: (filmforce.ign.com) suggests that next year's film will be "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe". I guess I can understand why they'd choose that one, but I'd prefer them to have started with "The Magician's Nephew". I guess it doesn't preclude the possibility of them doing that one later, as a prequel...
