Could be interesting. Mind you, I think he'll need to take a different direction than he's used so far in the comics. To quote from his first issue: "Did the radiation enable the spider to give you these powers? Or was the spider trying to give you those powers before the radiation killed it? Which came first? The radiation? Or the power? The chicken or the egg or the power?" Basically, he's introduced the concept of animal totems. But since last year's film didn't use radioactivity, this wouldn't fit so well.

That says he's being brought in to "fix the script" indicating htat the script is already written but initial reviews haven't found it that great. So they bring in a different writer to try and tighten it up. Interestingly this is a job that Joss Whedon has done on a few films (Alien Ressurection for one), so the similarities between the two just keep rolling in.

Apparently this one is false. Sorry. Apparently Alfred Molina is in the lead to play Dr Octopus.

Ah well, never mind - not all rumours will be accurate. From his IMDB page, Alfred Molina could be a good choice for Doc Ock.
