 John Kirk ( 30th Jan 2003, 15:54, Rank: Patrician )  reply

Well, I don't really follow awards, on the grounds that I know what I like, and I won't be more/less likely to watch a film based on the number of Oscars etc it received. But it's nice if series/films I like do well, on the basis that it will make them happy.

In this case, it's certainly surprising that "The Two Towers" didn't get nominated. My memory is a bit more hazy on "Men in Black 2", so I don't recall how much of it was CGI rather than prosthetics. On the other hand, I haven't seen the two nominated films either, so I suppose it's *possible* that they really are light years ahead.
