alas :( hope there'll be a dvd release of some sort anyway. dvd subscription sounds rather unlikely to happen!

It may still get picked up at a later date if the revenues/ratings for reruns and releases in other coutnries are any good. Unfortunately it's just not going to fit in with either stations future programing plans (UPN in financial difficulties, Sci-Fi moving away from space based sf). It may yet resurface, Joss Whedon and Tim Minear won't abandon it.
btw Richard your typing has reached new levels of incomprehensibility! *grin*

( - comment from the president of Mutant Enemy (Grr Argh).
Not that surprising networks are reluctant to pay $2million per episode!

To be fair, that is probably like 1/10th of the cost of an episode of Enterprise :(

Good news from Tim Minear (writer, director, producer and all round nice guy). Posted on a message board.
"Also wanted to let everyone here know that Firefly is not dead. Not yet. Joss and us'ns are working on a new angle, the details of which I cannot get into just yet. Also, I'm finishing editing my last episode. I think it's gonna be good. And "Trash" is lots of fun and we're finishing "Heart Of Gold." So some day, at the very least, ya'll get for certain three more hours of us."

Also I'm not sure that Enterprise costs that much more than Firefly... It's a lot of money to be spending on just a show (ie without having extortionate cast members that pull in ratings like Friends and Frasier do).
