Contents include - Images, Synopses, Reviews, People, News

Subjects include - Babylon 5

The premiere B5 resource, particularly for its episode guides which list relevant points and collect all relevant jms (b5 creator) quotes. Huge links list for other B5 web resources. It's even got a ship named for it in the series!
simple structure, low bandwidth

The Encyclopedia of Arda

 The Encyclopedia of Arda

Link submitted by dormouse on 2002-04-11

Contents include - Information

Subjects include - Lord of the Rings, Tolkien

Extremely detailed and well-interlinked reference site - you can easily lose hours here. Main focus is on the books, but there is a page on the film(s) and how they differ from the books, as well as various trivia.
Professional looking, un-fussy style.

The site is being a bit fussy recently, occasionally being unavailable, i'm guessing they're being slightly overloaded. It's worth checking back though.

Much like the Lurkers Guide for contents - long episode analyses, with relevant points and collected comments from cast and crew. Also a comprehensive cast and crew section.

Pretty useful for earlier episodes, but doesn't seem to be being updated for season 4 very quickly. Also lots of information on the Save Farscape Campaign.

"We're all about helping readers discover new science fiction and fantasy books and authors". The site has a database of 40,000+ books which you can search by theme (a huge list of categories, from Alien Invasions to King Arthur to Twins), look at their Classics by year, or listings of all the winners of various awards. Browse by author (see their books by date or series, and relevant internet links), or read user reviews (often quite long).

 Fictionwise eBooks

Contents include - eBooks, Shop

Subjects include - Books, Science Fiction and Fantasy

An eBooks shop which has a heavy focus on SF/Fantasy. Sells lots of short stories as well as full length novels; the short stories tend to be in non-secure formats and may be as cheap as 50 cents. They have a nice Award Winners section where you can search for winners of many different genre awards. They also seem to have regular special offers, and a number of stories are available to download free. Payment allowed by credit card or Paypal; surcharge for orders less than $5, but you can maintain a small balance on the site to pay out of.

 Internet Book List

Link submitted by dormouse on 2004-10-16

Contents include - Information, Links

Subjects include - Science Fiction and Fantasy, Books

A book indexing site, like SciFan or the ISFDB. Good for looking up what authors have done, and seeing series lists. But this one appears to be more open: it gives users editing privileges. You can also ask for a copy of their database. From the few searches I've done, it seems pretty complete and accurate so far (at least for what we're interested in!)

I already added a link to this site on 2003-03-09 - probably worth removing one of them.
