You can start reading with the first strip, which is pretty crude, or enjoy a smoother ride from the start of 2001 and dig back into those early efforts later. There are around a thousand comics - read them all and you get a lollipop.

Scary Go Round is a comic that appears around midnight every Tuesday and Thursday, and occasionally on other days too. Every 24 comics make a story, and there's always a link to the start of the current story on the front page. Just rub your lucky rabbit's paw and hope Tessa and Rachel make it through each one!

On September 10, 1997, ROOMIES! began in the Indiana Daily Student newspaper at Indiana University. At first just a small story about a pair of roommates, ROOMIES! evolved into IT'S WALKY!, the mind-warping tale of Walkerton and Joyce as they battle aliens and the fears that exist within. And every blue moon it remembers it's supposed to be funny. Its continued existance is indebited to the thousands of readers who subject themselves each day to the most evil cartoonist ever. Troopers, all of you.

Worship the comic.

Alia - 2002-10-23

This is an excellent daily comic, with good artwork and an ongoing storyline. It doesn't just go for gags, as the plot often gets centre stage. The story has included various sci-fi related parodies and some techy humour. If you have the time, it's well worth reading from the beginning! Sluggy comics are available in book form from specialist publisher Plan 9, who deal with this particular niche market. We have books 1-7 in the library if you prefer to read it offline ;) Archive back to the very first strip (25th August 1997).
Occasionally they do animations, but in general it's just a simple image each day.

It allegedly chronicles a cat, although as someone else commented he is really a person in a cat-suit, in that he doesn't behave like an ordinary cat. This tends towards slapstick humour, with quite a few custard pies.
This has an archive that goes back at least a month, and each new strip is up to date.

Good site - one of the ones I visit every day. Does read better when you can go through it all in one go, rather than an installment each day, but not too slow-paced.

The settings aren't exactly gritty realism - of the three guys who share a flat, Mike has a tentacle instead of his left arm, Dave can shoot laser beams out of his eyes, and Roger is a were-coyote with an extra eye in the palm of his left hand. However, every so often you get strips that are very true to life. A couple that address unrequited love:

http://www.crfh.net/d/20020425.html
Has drop-downs to hop you to the beginning of each storyline (covering about 2 months each), which makes it faster to navigate the archives.

Wanna tiger!

Alia - 2002-10-23

The adventures of a six-year old boy, and his toy tiger who may or may not be alive. This is quite a charming view of childhood, with idyllic summer holidays. It also offers some interesting insights into adult life (e.g. pollution) through a child's eyes.
This has an archive going back to the first strip (November 18, 1985), and each "new" strip is exactly eleven years old.
