Picocon to be 19th February
Train fares from Northumberland + one night's accomodation requested by Stephen Baxter
It was noted that max £50 per guest is permitted to be spent from budget

How to climax the event?
Decided to end with the quiz.

The fish duel was discussed.
A risk assessment was considered.
It was decided that officially there shall be no fish duel.

Other business

The position of Publicity Officer was discussed.
Keen Freshers were considered for the post.

Alex Trenchard was volunteered to print membership cards

Femtocon was discussed
Posters have been put up in the Union, Sherfield, Walkway etc by Malcolm, Kath and Ben

5 computers are available for the LAN for Femtocon


  • Alex has put out requests for rounds
  • Ben will provide Star Trek
  • Lorna will provide 'Stuff' round
  • Alex will provide Harry Potter
  • Kath will provide Discworld

Wargames will run sideshow card games etc rather than RPGs

Ali + a minion will deal with food (inc. quiz prizes)

Videos were discussed. Trapdoor suggested. Videos agreed on were Futurama, Red Dwarf, Blackadder and Monty Python
