HOCKEY

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE HOCKEY!

If you enjoy hockey, or want to try something completely new then why not find us at the freshers fair!

At RSM Hockey we make hockey available to students of all ability, regardless of what course you're on; you don't need to be a miner! We currently have a Mens XI, a Ladies XI and a very sociable and fun Mixed XI. Each year we take part in LUSL (London Universities Sports Leagues) along with Imperial College and IC Medics teams.

We train every Tuesday for two hours, but the training is a fun way to keep fit, rather than intensive fitness training. The pitch we train on is at Harlington Sports Ground owned by Imperial College and shared with QPR (at least before it gets levelled for a new runway).

We not only have fun on the pitch, but we also regularly hold events throughout the year. We also enjoy a long weekend hockey tour up to Blackpool every Easter where we enter a mixed hockey squad with fancy dress and forfeits - attendance is strongly suggested!

For those of you who want to play serious competitive hockey, every year we play in the infamous Bottle Match against Camborne School of Mines of Exeter Uni. This is always a fun weekend, resulting in lots of banter and many amazing memories!
