A superb weekend of SRT - a complex 4-way exchange in Notts 1 went off with only two hitches, and on Sunday we had four separate trips, with rigging practice, photography and a classic bit of Jingling.

The sun rises, the sun sets, and Imperial visit the Mendip Hills but once a year. This year we had four (count 'em) elite teams tackling various permutations on getting wet in Swildon's, and on Sunday one cracked team went back there, whilst the more sensible members of the club visiting Eastwater or GB.

A glorious weekend of caving, with two classic trips to Lost Johns' and Notts II. Torrential rain made the route through Monastery impassable, but we had a complex and rewarding exchange deep inside the bowels of the earth, before emerging to a new caving meal, shakshuka. Sunday saw us in Notts II, which was surprisingly unflooded.

Our second Freshers' trip to Wales gave us an opportunity to explore Ogof Ffynnon Ddu even further, with Tanguy leading a bold, slim group through Cwm Dwr whilst both other groups made it to the main streamway in OFD II. The weather on Sunday was glorious, tempting some people into a hike, whilst others went to photograph the entrance series and a small team retrieved the ropes that had been left in the previous day.
