Major Event is an annual musical production written, composed, and performed by members of the Imperial College Singapore Society.
It was held on 16th February 2019 at The Great Hall.

This year’s show, Chai Dao Kueh: The Musical follows the families of two rival hawkers, Lily and Suzy, who have been selling chai dao kueh and nasi biryani next to each other in Adam Road hawker centre for many years. Despite their bitter rivalry, their children, Hailey and Rizwan, are close friends and classmates in poly. Everything changes for them when Lily is diagnosed with breast cancer, while Rizwan incites the wrath of the schoolyard gangster and bully. We would like to thank the Deputy High Commissioner of Singapore to the UK, Ms Rozana Bte Abdul Majid, for making some time in her busy schedule to come down to watch our show, along with our audience who came down to watch and support us.

We would also like to thank the following sponsors for making this event possible. ICSS Gold Societal Sponsor: Exxon Mobil, Overseas Singaporeaan Unit. Gold event sponsors: Overseas Singaporean Unit, Singapore Tourism Board and Yeo’s Event Sponsor: T4, Old Chang Kee, SOP International Limited.
