ICSS is deeply honoured to have played a part in the state visit of the President of the Republic of Singapore, Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam, on 25th October. President Tan was hosted by Professor Alice Gast, President of Imperial College London. We are proud of the strong links between Singapore and Imperial; LKC Medicine School, academic research partnership with Singapore University of Technology and Design on Cybersecurity, joint PhD programme with NUS and Nanyang Technological University’s Renaissance Engineering Programme. President Tan also met with over 200 members of our Society members and many managed to sneak a selfie with the President too! In addition, President Tan visited Imperial’s Carbon Capture Plant, where he met several Singaporean chemical engineering students as well.
The College extends their appreciation to all who participated in the welcome and looks forward to working with the Society in the future.
