About us
We are a student-found and student-led society bringing together students, doctors and staff alike who are passionate for paediatrics. The society was established in 2012 and it is now ever-growing and expanding with over 250 sign ups at the 2017/18 Freshers Fair making us the largest volunteering society at Imperial College. Various academic events are held throughout the year, namely our annual national conference and we have a highly successful volunteering scheme whereby we improve a child’s care through play! We are also expanding our social events throughout the year which embodies the motto ‘work hard, play hard‘!
Our Aim:
To provide learning opportunities and training for future healthcare professionals in
- Communication
- Child Interaction
- Team work
- Play Therapy
- Academic opportunities
- To maximize on students energy, drive and youthfulness to engage in volunteering programmes, giving them the opportunity to engage and interact with children in the hospital in a clinical setting.
We are excited for the future of Imperial College Paediatrics Society and would like to thank all who have been involved!
