About the Writer

ZoŽ, our news and events editor, came from Australia to do her MSc in Science Communication at Imperial College, which she completed in September 2005. She is an over zealous I,Science contributor and has enjoyed being part of the magazine's creation. She found late night discussions over vegetarian chilli and cheap beer in the Union Bar particularly illuminating. She hopes to have a long and fruitful career in science journalism, but thinks she'll never have as much fun as interviewing Imperial College engineering students for I,Science.

ZoŽ was runner up feature writer of the year at the Guardian Student Media Awards 2005. The judges said: "Her writing has lovely rhythm and showed an excellent eye for detail. It is also encouraging to see someone with the confidence to pick their own subject."
