About Us

Artifact is a student led project born in 2010 and hosted between students at Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art. Our aim is to foster informal dialogue between the scientists and artists working at these two prestigious colleges through a series of fun social events and lectures. The project also supports creative collaborative projects, culminating in an annual two-week exhibition showcasing the achievements of our participants.

We try to support collaborating pairs and groups, and to help people find artists with complementary skills and interests. We’ll be featuring the work-in-progress on this website. The object is to help form long-standing partnerships, strengthen ties between the institutions and open minds to resolving the ‘Two Cultures Problem’.
