Imperial Women make history!

The Imperial ladies team recorded their first victory today in their inaugural year in the Dodgeball South League. Imperial managed to win all but 1 frame against UCL 2 ladies, reflecting an emphatic victory, with fantastic performances displayed from the whole team.

The captain Yan Jin Ho had this to say:

It was a great game for all of us with great catches, throws and counters. Playing Dodgeball is fun in itself, but winning a game is a morale booster that will make us more competitive for the league meets ahead

This is a fantastic achievement by the girls and marks the first of what I’m sure will be many victories for the team. Well done!

Post Christmas Dinner

After a wonderful Christmas dinner last night, we sent the freshers to the street, Christmas carol lyrics in hand, and let them loose on the world. Unfortunately, the world found it quite hard to hear them. And so we thought we’d have a comparison to last year’s attempt. Let’s just hope the Dodgeball standards don’t slip with the singing…

Christmas Dinner

It’s almost that time of year again, where we celebrate all our new members, remind all the old members of terrible mistakes they’ve made this year, and eat huge amounts of food, all in a wonderfully festive manner! That’s right, it’s the Dodgeball Christmas Dinner! This year we will be visiting the Plough and Harrow in Hammersmith, followed by a trip to Belushi’s. It’s very popular, and won’t be many spaces left, so if you want to attend, make sure to let us know on the facebook event here, and buy the deposit on the union page here! You only have until the 26th November to buy it, so do it quick, and we look forward to seeing you there!

English Open

The English open took place in Birmingham this Saturday, consisting of 28 teams from all over the country, and beyond! We had some very close matches against some strong teams, and although we failed to make it past the groups stage, we still played well all round. The team was captained by Euan Graham, and there were stand out performances from Santiago Rubio, who’s strong countering proved invaluable, and Nithin Thoppuram, who made an all round strong performance.

First social of the year!

Do you like bowling? Do you like Nando’s? If you answered yes to one, both, or neither of these questions, you should join the Imperial Wolverines on their first social on Wednesday 22nd October, which is Commemoration day. It will involve, as you may have guessed, bowling, followed by a trip to Nando’s, then straight to training at 9, and finally the union.

If you’re interested, send an email to expressing your excitement. Also, make sure to buy membership by clicking here! You won’t regret it!
