ICSF Book of the Month

...It needs a name. Something cooler than Book Club. Baz: Discussion Group? Everyone: No, cooler. Book of the Random Time Interval?...

As you may all know, Picocon is not very far away from us now and it's fallen upon me to arrange a read-through of a book by each of our three authors, followed by a brief discussion of the books themselves.

This year our Guests of Honour are Natasha Mostert, Ian Watson and Mark Roberts and the books that have been chosen for this book club are:

  • "Oracle", by Ian Watson
  • "Windwalker", by Natasha Mostert
  • and "The Thackery T. Lambshead Pocket Guide to Eccentric and Discredited Diseases", which is co-edited by Mark Roberts.

All three books are in the library, so pop in to borrow one at any time. Given that there's not long until we have to meet up, I'd also like to request that people return the books as soon as they're done with them, so other people can have a chance to read them too.

Come along on Monday 13th Feb, starting 5:30-6pm in the library. Even if you don't have time to read any of these books, please feel free to pop along if you just feel like talking about sci-fi and fantasy in general.
