Hugos and Nebulas

These are the biggest SF/Fantasy awards, so you're almost certain to have an interesting read when you pick any book from these lists. We've tried to ensure the library has as many of them as possible for you!

The Hugo Award, also known as the Science Fiction Achievement Award, is given annually by the World Science Fiction Society (WSFS). It's determined by nominations from and a popular vote of the membership of WSFS and is administered by Worldcon.

The Nebula Awards are administered, voted and presented by the Science Fiction Writers of America (SFWA) to acknowledge excellence in science fiction writing.

Arthur C Clarke Award

This Award was established with a generous grant from Arthur C Clarke with the intention of encouraging science fiction in Britain.It is awarded every year to the best science fiction novel which received its first British publication during the previous calendar year, and is chosen by jury.
