Editorial

Welcome to the new look Wyrmtongue, the fun size edition, just the right size to fit in your "Fireman Sam" lunch box... and, no I don't like it either, but the great looming head of capitalism has raised its head and decreed. In short, the last issue kinda fried the publicity budget. Apologies to Lloyd and Richard for the mess I have made of the budget. As a result Wyrmtongue has to be shrunk, and although I would prefer to see A4, the driving force of our society, money, has decreed thus, so I a humble subject must bow to it's wishes, but hopefully the content of this issue has not suffered to much. So apologies for the state of Wyrmtongue, both this week and the weeks to come. And while I am on a role I think I should continue by apologising for the lateness of this issue. As the date on the front indicates this issue should have appeared last Friday, but due to illness and incompetence, sadly both on my part, I have not got round to doing it earlier. Finally I would like to apologies for apologising so much...

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this issue. This is, of course, if you can manage read it at all, as I have been anticipating that I have made the fonts too small. As I mentioned in my last editorial, teething problems. But don't worry, I have my crampons on and I am scaling that learning curve as quickly as I can.

Finally, I would like to thank all those who contributed; Jakob for his significant contribution, Jo and Seb for their articles, and the ever-reliable Christophe Veilliard for his cartoon. Further more I would like to thank the person who penned the charming front cover. You oldies may have seen it before as I hauled up from the depths of the Wyrmtongue archives. Sadly, I do not know who did it. If you would kindly let me know I will ensure you get full credit in the next issue. Thanks! And how could I finish without the regular plea for articles. Anything please, of any length and on any subject, although preferably related to, however tenuously, to science fiction (this is a SF magazine after all!). And this time I shall remember to put my e-mail address! And here it is:

Please send all Subscriptions to: John.Crosse@ic.ac.uk.

Please send all written submissions in either: text, rich text, or word format. Any artwork submissions please send as a computer file, preferably .Jpeg format as I do not possess a scanner and have to transfer them home on disk, as I also do not possess a net connection... And yes I am planning to join you all in the 21st century as soon as I can but I have been busy, Ok!

I would like to leave you with one final thought:

If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?
