Femtocon again began the year (even if Wargames stole most of the limelight).

Big project for the year was replacing the eclectic collection of shelves (6 different designs, to be precise), filing cabinets and boxes that made up the library furniture. To everyone's suprise, the whole venture was incredibly painless - the library now has an extra thirty percent floor space (which may pay off in new members?), and the librarian no longer has to tie shelves on top of others to fit more books in. Due to hefty sponsorship from Citigroup, the IC Trust and the Harlington Grants Fund, the whole project came in under budget an in 1 term, not the 7 years originally planned for.

Picocon 25. This year the guests were Liz Williams, Paul Cornell and Cory Doctorow. Miranda the new mascot was finally completed.
