We started the year off, as always, with a fun Femtocon and a packed lunchtime video schedule. We also held video and film showings on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, Magic on Tuesdays, and the occasional cinema trips and barnights on Thursdays, which must be one of the most active event schedules yet.

Cinema Trips to: Finding Nemo, Return of the King, Van Helsing, Troy, The Day After Tomorrow, Harry Potter 3, Shrek 2, Spiderman 2, I Robot, and Hellboy.

The 40th anniversary of Dr Who neccessitated an entire week of Dr Who lunchtime showings (23-30 Nov 2003), which Simon very happily managed.

Stuff cooled off after the first term, but regular Magic evenings (including a Darksteel draft) and barnights continued. Later, some people even ventured out to the Magic (Fifth Dawn) prerelease event.

Picocon 21 happened. This year's guests were Peter F Hamilton, Paul McAuley, and Adam Roberts. Eemeli took the initiative and actually contacted their publishers for publicity material, and got stuff, including a whole lot of new Pandora's Star books to sell on (before the official release date).
