End of Term Dinner - 20th March...oodles of noodles... The icsf dinner was planned nicely in advance for the 20th of March. The Tuesday night meeting was a little bit different from our usual Thurs night events. However it was decided not to clash with the RCSU annual dinner and allow the people having exams on Friday to come along with minimal guilt. An e-mail vote was taken to decide whether to go for Indian or Thai, and despite a stunningly low response, the majority seemed to favour Thai at the Churchill Arms on High Street Ken. Surprise, surprise when we met in the Union bar on a very wet Tuesday night there were at least twice as many people turned up as had e-mailed. We trooped all the way up to The Churchill Arms to discover they already had a large party in and couldn't fit us in. So we wandered back down to High Street Kensington and eventually ended up in Wagamamas, a sort of trendy Japanese noodle bar set out like a school cantine. After a fair amount of cooing about the menues with a glossary, the electronic notepads used by the waiters and the scribbling on tablemats people eventually ordered and ate. The response was varied, but all agreed it was interesting and different. There was some muttering about eating noodle soup with chopsticks and at least one committee member was seen stealing a fork but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. After dinner the group broke up into those who needed to go home and work, those going to the bar and those going back to halls, probably to play more Counter Strike.
