Dom Andradi-Brown | Portland 21st/22nd April
I’m planning a chilled out weekend in Portland diving on IceCube not this weekend but the one after – 21st and 22nd April.

Diving – fairly relaxed off IceCube or Icicle in and around the Harbour. For those who’ve not been before there’s lots of nice wrecks in the 10-15m range that can be easily dived. This makes it a perfect first trip for anyone who qualified on Easter Trip to dive some more dive sites or if you didn’t come on Easter Trip this is the ideal first trip back in the water.

For those who’ve not been there’s some info on the wrecks here.

Accommodation – I’m thinking camping to keep it nice and cheap, unless anyone has any objections and really wants to go for caravans.

Transport – probably drive down on the Friday afternoon/evening depending on what time people can make it to the cellar. Depending on how many people want to come we’ll get a Union minibus or do it with cars. Also people dependent we’ll decide whether to take Icicle or IceCube.

Cost – in the past the cost of these weekend trips normally works out around £60-70 for everything (transport, diving, food and accommodation).

I’ll need some boat handlers and minibus drivers along as well to lend a hand.

Let me know if you’re interested,

Dom
Simon Child | Plymouth, May Bank Holiday
I've a note book full of new sites I want to explore. Most would be suitable for newer sporties, some would allow people to extend their depth experience. Some more challenging than others-it all depends on who wants to come.

Anyone interested?

Gilbert Dougherty | Plymouth 8-10 June
I'm organising a trip to Plymouth over the 8-10 June. The purpose will be to get the newly qualified (or not so newly qualified!) Sports Divers comfortable at greater depths than those we reached over Easter. This will be one of several trips I aim to plan, extending the SDs to their limit of 35m, and will consist of a two dives: one at 20m, and one at 25m. Further extensions will occur on later dive trips.

So if anyone is interested at this early stage, please do the following:

(a) Save the date. The minibus is booked, so the date is frozen.
(b) Let me know.

Once I've got a feel for the interest level I will get back to everyone with more details.

Cheers,

Gilbert.
