Dear Members of ICGC,

Hopefully, you’ve all remembered to keep 21^st May free for the ICGC annual dinner. Unfortunately I don’t have the time to write a long and elaborate e-mail explaining how awesome it will be because I have lots of revision to do (and I wasted a lot of time making the poster above, good isn’t it?). If you don’t want to upset me, make sure I didn’t make this poster in vain by coming along to the annual dinner. The link below will take you to the form for the menu choices.

The venue has said there is there is a slight possibility that the menu will change but is should be as below. Please respond as soon as possible with your choice if you want to come because otherwise I will get angry and I am quite dangerous because I am a yellow belt in ju jitsu and will walk up behind you and poke you with a stick. Have you ever played Worms? How embarrassing was it when your worm got killed by being poked off the side into the water? My favourite weapons were the holy hand grenade, the super sheep and the concrete donkey even though I only got the concrete donkey once.

• Calamari with tartare dip
• Houmous with coriander and carrot and cucumber batons

• Cottage pie with carrots and Savoy cabbage
• Cumberland sausage and mash with balsamic red onion gravy
• Roasted roots risotto with goats cheese and tarragon
• Char-grilled gammon and free range eggs with chips

• Plum, raspberry and frangipane tart with custard
• Mascarpone cheese cake with rhubarb compote
• Chocolate Brownie with vanilla ice cream

Half a bottle of wine is included in the price.

*I’ll try to find out what the soup of the day is as soon as possible and change it accordingly or if you are feeling a bit daring just go for it!

It's that time of the year again and just around the corner is THE event of the year! That's right, it's the ICGC Christmas dinner coming up on Saturday 11^th December. There will be Christmas pudding and mulled wine a plenty. We will be going to the Builder's Arms just off Gloucester Road. Here’s a map and here's the menu:

Starters

• Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato soup with warm sliced bread
• Chicken and wild mushroom pate with Cumberland sauce and toast
• Smoked Salmon with capers, herb creme fraiche and toast

Mains

• Roast Norfolk turkey with cranberry sauce
• Roast rump beef with horseradish sauce
• Vegetarian Nut Roast with beetroot and horseradish chutney (All served with roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, Yorkshire pudding, carrots, honeyed parsnips, Brussel sprouts, sage and onion stuffing and gravy)
• Salmon fillet wrapped in smoked salmon and roasted in white wine sauce and served with new potatoes and green beans

Desserts

• Christmas Pudding with brandy sauce
• Chocolate brownie and vanilla pod ice cream
• Lemon tart with creme fraiche

mmmm, delicious!

2 courses for £16 (you can choose either to have a starter or a dessert) or 3 courses for £19 and wine is included!!! We will be meeting at the Builder’s Arms at 7pm for the meal then having a few drinks in the pubs around South Ken afterwards. To book your place email back A.S.A.P. Another quick reminder that Winter tour is just around the corner. We are going to Portmoak in Scotland again this year. Last year everyone had a great time with lots of gliding in the snow and a fantastic night at the Hogmanay street festival on New Year’s Eve. We will be leaving on 27^th December and returning on 3^rd January.
