Intro
The Imperial College Union Dance Company is a platform for beginners to explore the world of contemporary dance, ballet and tap, as well as for dancers of any level to improve on stamina and technique (our repertoire may be as challenging as an intermediate/elementary contemporary course). However, first and foremost it is an opportunity to have fun and to perform onstage in some of Imperial's biggest staged events (past events include: East Meets West, Arts Festival, International Night and Relief Night). The bulk of our performances are during Spring term, for which there will be Company rehearsals on Sundays after contemporary class. It's a great way to keep fit, maybe learn something new or keep your technique up to scratch.
We have regular socials throughout the term including trips to Sadler's Wells and the Royal Opera House for dance performances, roller disco, or food and drinks out and about around London. Always good fun and a chance to get away from the science and engineering at Imperial once in a while!
