The Imperial College DanceSport Team is one of the traditional “big three” in the UK. We’ve consistently ranked very highly in all national and social competitions, and we intend to keep up this excellent standard.
The Team is divided into Beginner and Main sections. Our Beginners’ Team has a history of taking complete beginners and turning them into great dancers. The Main Team gets together to practice twice a week, but can be found practising around college most evenings. Everything is supervised by our international professional coaches, the team captains and the executive committee.
We provide partners, private tuition at discounted prices and fantastic social events, such as our traditional Christmas Ball. The team attends six university competitions each year, including our very own Imperial Inter-Varsity Challenge Cup.
If you’re a beginner and would like to dance competitively at a national level with us, come to one of the beginners’ team practices and talk to us!
If your’re a more advanced dancer, come to our team trials or get in touch with the team captains.
