As your departure to UK gets closer and closer, we each feel a strange mix of trepidation and elation, because we’ve never been to college, but we hear it’s going to be awesome. So if you’ve been thinking,”Hmm, dear ICSS, whatever am I to do with all this excitement?” (or actually, even if you haven’t), come on down for UKBound 2011 – Lavish!
An event organised by the Imperial College Singapore Society, UKBound gathers Singaporean students heading off to the UK for further studies for a night of good, clean fun. Bring your cheers, bring your applause, bring your friends, and most importantly to us, bring yourselves!
Last year’s UKBound, Allure, was a roaring success: we had a beauty pageant, guest judges, a band showcase, exclusive use of Zouk and close to 400 people turning up for the night. The title of Allure King and Queen eventually went to King’s College and Nottingham University respectively, although the representatives from all the other universities were pretty much drop-dead gorgeous (with a little help from our sponsors AE Image, Kimage and Agneselle).
This time around, Lavish will be having another beauty pageant, with drool-worthy prizes up for the lucky two to be crowned Lavish King and Queen. We’ll also be having a lucky draw and a dance-off, so whether it’s to support your friends on-stage or just hang out with your friends and be entertained, come on down! There’ll be door gifts, live music, and, of course, plenty of socialising and mingling.
