If you are still unsure what Sojourn is, Sojourn, or the start of a journey, is the ICSS’s version of those sacred orientation proceedings, that every girl out of JC and every guy out of NS, will die to go for before matriculation. In contrast to the usual sleazy activities some other camp committees love to engage themselves in, ICSS does it with the pure intent to embrace all our new freshmen into our big Imperial family.
Realise that it is your last time to trudge along the sand while you inhale the aromatic scent of the Singapore air and bask under the golden sunlight. Not to mention, a battalion of year 2s have assembled with a single and mutual resolve – to go on a little adventure together with you and to facilitate your assimilation into our culture of a one Imperial family.
Sojourn is one of the major highlights of ICSS events, and parallel to the idea of the “start of a journey” as its name suggests, this event is the route that kick-starts your greater journey towards London.

Over the 3D2N camp, you’re going to have a ton of fun making new friends, playing (good, clean) silly games, and having plenty of heart-to-heart talks, all in sunny Sentosa.
The whole point of Sojourn is for you to meet and get to know the people you’ll be going to Imperial College with. Whether it be freshers, second or third years, we want all the Singaporeans in our cosy little society to be friends with one another!
Your Orientation Group Leaders (OGLs) will be contacting you within this week with more details to our camp. The packing list as well as the photographs of your very own OGLs are also in our Welcome Pack for your reference. If you’re still a lost soul a few days before camp, feel free to contact us.
Do remember to bring your signed indemnity form on the first day of Sojourn! If you are under 21, you’ll need to get a parent/guardian’s signature on it. If you have yet to submit your camp fees of $45 (or $65 for Sojourn + Lavish Package), do remember to bring the exact amount and submit it to your OGLs as well.
