Global Health & the Surgeon Conference 2011
The Global Health & the Surgeon Conference will take place on Saturday 10th December at Imperial College London. This is the first undergraduate Global Health conference of its kind, which aims to expose medical students to the realities of the global burden of disease and the role of surgery in the humanitarian response. The conference also serves to encourage students to begin thinking about ways in which they can contribute towards improving the delivery of healthcare and expose opportunities for surgically orientated elective and summer placements.
The day comprises of lectures and workshops from world-renowned experts within the field of Surgery and Global Health including Lord Ian McColl OBE, Sir Roy Anderson, Professor Helen Ward and Professor Andrew Kingsnorth.
