The biggest event of the year is back, and this time it's personal!
The Summer Ball 2012 is the ball you asked for. We are putting on the best formal party of the year on a transformed South Kensington campus and you're invited.
Our aim this year was to provide you with the best possible night at a price you can afford. With tickets starting from just £35 this is our most affordable Summer Ball yet. This ticket includes all the great entertainments you have come to expect including a funfair, fireworks and a chance to dress-to-impress with our black tie dress-code.
For those that want a superb start to the evening you can also take part in our Formal Dinner, a three-course meal served with views of the Queen's Lawn including wine and a champagne reception.
Finally, for the party animals, you can join us at the Afterparty for only £6 extra. Metric will be open until 06:00 offering revellers the chance to finish of the year with an all-night party!
The famous Summer Ball funfair is back. You told us this was one of your favourite things about the ball so we are making it better than ever before with a mixture of your favourites and some exciting new additions! As always, the funfair is free for all ticket holders.
Each year the Queen's Tower is illuminated with an amazing back-drop of fireworks representing the celebration of the end of another year at Imperial.
The Summer Ball is your chance to share this moment with your friends and coursemates.
You asked us to bring back black tie dress-code, so this year we have! This is your opportunity to put on your best dinner jackets and cocktail dresses. But make sure you have suitable shoes for dancing!
The Formal Dinner is back after popular demand. With views overlooking the Queen's Lawn and Tower you will have the chance to sit down and enjoy a three course meal with wine with all your friends. The dinner also includes a champagne reception. Vegetarian and special dietary requirement options will be available.
The number of seats we have available for the dinner is limited; we also have a minimum number we need to sell, as prescribed by College catering. If we do not meet this amount you will be refunded in full.

The Afterparty is for those of you want to party a little later than 02:00. Running until 06:00, the Afterparty will be the place to really celebrate the end of the year. Tickets for the Afterparty are limited so make sure you get yours early.
Afterparty tickets are only valid in conjunction with a Summer Ball ticket.
