Welcome to the Sabbatical Elections 2010!

The Sabbatical elections are now in full-swing! Nominations have closed and we now have the list of potential candidates standing for positions in the Union. Now it's over to you, the wonderful student body of Imperial College London to cast your votes and choose who you'd like to see in charge of this place next year.

If you haven't already been accosted by some of the candidates in this year's elections, chances are you soon will be. There's a good chance they'll thrust some sweets or chocolates in your direction, while telling you they're the best at the role they're standing for. Take the treats, but make sure you listen to what they've got to say while you're munching; this person could be running your Union next year.

It's unlikely you'll speak to every candidate over the coming weeks, so we've collated each of their manifestos on this website. Click the Candidates button at the top to take a look. Make sure you read them all. Think carefully about the points they make, whether their promises are realistic and whether the changes they propose are ones you'd like to see enacted. If you need reminding what is expected of the candidates in their respective roles, you can click the Positions button to find out about what each role entails, with comment from the current Sabbatical Officers.

Voting opens at 00:01 on Tuesday 9 March. Once you've settled on who you think is best for each role, hit the big Vote Now! button at the top of the page and make yourself heard! Once you've done that, get your friends to vote and then their friend's friends too! The more the better!

Happy voting! Your contribution is much appreciated!
