Imperial College is internationally renowned for its teaching and research in the areas of science, technology and medicine.  The largest taught masters course at Imperial is the Environmental Technology course which has been running since 1977, with over 2500 alumni going on to become internationally recognised leaders in their field. The College has also gained increasing recognition for its pioneering work in many aspects of environmental research in areas as diverse as fuel cells, transport, atmospheric physics and ecology. The Grantham Institute and Energy Futures Lab are just two of the College's cross- faculty institutes designed to draw together cross- faculty expertise in these areas.
