Wing Chun

Category: Martial Arts
Wing Chun is a self-defence martial art popularised by Bruce Lee and films like Ip Man, focusing on speed and skill rather than size or strength. This makes Wing Chun ideal for people of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels. Wing Chun teaches practical techniques relying on touch sensitivity coupled with strong punches to exploit your opponent's weaknesses. We practice all aspects of Wing Chun, including the wooden dummy form, appreciating both the tradition and practicality of the martial art. Our instructor, Sifu Nick Martin from the UKWCKFA, has over 20 years of experience and an excellent teaching style. His company, Stay Safe Global, teaches self-defence to corporations around the world. Whether you want to improve your fitness, boost your confidence, or just want to join a friendly society with a great community spirit, give Wing Chun a try during our regular sessions on campus.
