AGM Agenda
- Officer Reports
- Announcement of Captain’s Committee for 2012-13: Team captains are elected prior to AGM and each member has one vote in they are most associated. Members may not vote in more than one captain’s election. Your team captain will send you more information about this.
- Election of Club Officers for 2012-13: If a position receives no nominees, people may stand at the AGM, but if one or more nominations are received, further nominations are not accepted at the AGM.
Standing for election
- Nominate yourself for a position
- All nominees will make a short speech at AGM as to why they believe the membership should vote for them.
- Each nominee will require a seconder who will also make a short speech on their nominees’ behalf.
- This seconder cannot be me, Martyn Chapman, Teddy Middlebrook, or the current holder of the position
To be considered for election, please email me by 6pm on Monday 5th March 2012 at club-captain@imperialhockey.co.uk:
- Your NAME
- The POSITION YOU WISH TO STAND FOR
- Your SECONDER’s NAME
I would encourage everyone to consider standing for a position – the club depends on the hard work of the committee to function and continue to be a hugely successful club.
Contests for a position are encouraged, this tends to result in a better functioning committee. Last year almost every position was contested between two or more nominees.
